Thanks! Currently the theme doesn't support the display of who you're following. I designed the icons specially for this theme and have no plans to release the original files, sorry.

Sadly there's no way to view notes directly on a top level page, but if you click the notes link, it'll show them on the individual page instead.

Sorry for all these questions - I don't really know anything at all about coding. I tried implementing your awesome theme, but for some reason the link posts aren't displaying properly.

Wow, beautiful layout. Really intuitive and extremely well designed. I love the icons & how smooth everything is.

I was wondering if it was at all possible to add a header image? Also is there any way of editting the layout so that there is just one block of colour for the column of posts (as opposed to multiple shades/boxes of grey)?

Adding a header image is possible with some hacking, but not really intended for this theme. I'd suggest trying to place an image directly within the #page div rather than #pageInner.

You can hide the overlay pattern using the following custom CSS:
#pageInner, .media .imageOverlay {background:none;}

1. Yup, use the following custom CSS:
#description, #description .icon {display:block;}

You will also need to delete lines 10, and 19-41 of magic.js. This modified file will need to be uploaded somewhere, finally update the magic.js URL in the theme at line 24 to link to your hosted copy.

2. This is harder and would probably achieve undesirable results, you might be better off replacing the text itself like on my tumblr. Use my custom CSS as a starting point (view page source and look at lines 37-39), you'll want to modify the dimensions and change the background URL.

Hi, good job with such a beautiful minimalist theme! Too bad image overlay doesn't show up in Internet Explorer. Also, I've managed to add a background image to the body however, again, it doesn't show in Internet Explorer. I've also added links/menu below the description. This time it shows in Internet Explorer but the padding value doesn't work so it's misaligned. These little mods look and work just fine in every other browser except Internet Explorer. Sigh. Any clues/suggestions?

I disabled the overlays completely in IE6 (no support for repeating pngs) and just from the images in IE7 because of poor support for opacity when fading them in and out.

Because of the way I've prepared the theme the IE stylesheets will take priority over everything else because they're the last on the page. You can get by this by writing your own custom styles as the last items within the conditional comments that target Internet Explorer. If you know the solution to your padding issue you can target IE specifically using these comments.

The IE developer toolbar or native IE8 developer tools may be of help to diagnose your layout issues.

This was a mistake on my part when coding the theme. A reinstall from the theme garden should fix the issue.

There's no one way to implement a lightbox with tumblr, the way I coded it here might be too particular to this theme to work with Silo.

Have a search around the web for a lightbox that works best for you. I'd recommend having a good read of the documentation as they'll be written to get you up and running as soon as possible.

The only problem i have is that the numbers of my comments in my post dont show! :S For example, although there might be comments, instead of "2 Comments" only "Comments" appear :( Any help with that? How do I insert a custom (image) header, as you have for your page? Assume that I want mine to be a .jpg file that spans the width of the grey blog region (example: http://danmeth.com/ )

I wouldn't recommend using a custom header but here's a start on the CSS.

#title {position:absolute; top:0; left:0; margin:0; padding:0; width:680px; height:100px; background:red;}
#title a {display:block; width:680px; height:100px; text-indent:-9999px;}
#pageInner {padding-top:100px;}

You'll want to change the heights/widths/padding to meet your needs, apply your header image as the background on the #title element. Good luck!

I would like to thank you for your hard work and excellent theme. You have saved me hours of work. I was looking for a clean theme that supported tags, notes and would be easy to integrate with Disqus, and you took all the work out for me. Bravo.

IMO, a version of this with the AJAX stripped out should be the new default template for Tumblr.

Also, did you make the icons or get them from somewhere else? I rather like them. They remind me of the PICOL set. If you got them from somewhere else, or have any more, I'd love to see them!

The icons are custom made (except for the description silhouette). Some used photos as references and the rest were based off some old dingbat fonts I had. I only made as many icons as I needed, it's likely I'll reuse them for future themes as well, but maybe redrawn at a higher resolution if needed.

I also want to thank you for this beautiful theme. At first I had some problems with activating th comments, but now everything just works perfect. I also really like the twitter integration. Additionally I feed all my tweets via rss into my tumblr. Now, is there a way that I style these posts like a quote and provide them with this beautiful twitter icon you made?
Or perhaps this is possible without feeding twitter, and just with your implemented functionality. So that new tweets become a post with the exact same style you used for this sticky-twitter-thingy.

If tumblr allowed for RSS content to be posted as a quote post it would be more than possible.

You'd post it with a specific tag (twitterPost maybe) and combine this with the {TagsAsClasses} template code to target each post with CSS to change the icon. Hopefully tumblr relaxes the post types soon.

It looks like you accidentally deleted the code that showed the notes from the template.

Have a look around line 226 of the original template for the missing code, it should start like: {block:NoteCount}<li class="notes"><a...

great work here. i really like this. i'm having problems with the lightbox feature, though. i'm uploading pretty large images, not setting a click through link, and the interaction doesn't work. your note above mentions a larger image being available. where would this live?

also, in safari 4, it says your theme doesn't support custom css. works in firefox, though.

Great theme.

I'm hoping someone might be able to give me some help with my site. The comment link appears below each post, but when I click on the link to comment, I am taken to the page for the individual post and no comment box appears.

Also, the "Note" feature is not appearing for me (even though I don't know what it is or what it's for, it's weird that it doesn't appear).
